Rennes, France, 14-15 May 2008

Zone de Texte: With a global market estimated to represent several billions euros and with a 2 digit sales growth rate, the field of dietary supplements is still gaining momentum. Even if slimming, tonic and menopause ingredients remain the 3 blockbusters of nutraceutics, some new segments such as joint health, ophtalmology, urinary health, immunity have been bringing about more and more sales for a recent time.
Due to a trend associating nutrition, health and beauty, dietary supplements’ future is to associate foods with drugs and cosmetics. The symposium will be divided into sessions including conferences selected by the Scientific Committee :
• Marine ingredients
• Lipids
• Probiotics and prebiotics
• Legislation – clinical trials
• Plant ingredients
Coffee breaks and a cocktail will be organized in a place dedicated to the display of posters. During that time, participants will be able to exchange and to do business. The prize of the best poster will be awarded at the end of a « 10 minutes to convince » session.
